Chris Parker is a Senior Associate and architect at Board & Vellum, an architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture firm in Seattle, Washington.

Senior Associate, Architect

Chris is a licensed architect passionate about community engagement and equitable design practices. As a Senior Associate, Chris brings over 10 years of experience in thoughtful project management for multifamily, mixed-use, and affordable housing projects. He advocates for projects that address unmet economic, social, and environmental needs.

With a varied career including starting his own company, lecturing at Cornell University’s Design & Environmental Analysis program, and running workshops for Ithaca College’s Pre-Architecture Studio, Chris contributes a wide range of knowledge and expertise to Board & Vellum. He completed a Doctor of Architecture degree at the University of Hawaii, is a member of AIA, and is a LEED Accredited Professional specializing in building design and construction. His work in community engagement has been recognized by the WASLA Award of Merit.

Chris previously served as Chair of the US Green Building Council Hawaii Chapter’s Green Schools Committee, Communications Chair for the AIA Southern NY Chapter, and Board Chair for Forward Flux Production. He is currently a Board Member for Shunpike, a community-oriented collective focused on empowering individual artists and arts groups.

When Chris isn’t finding new ways to support the community through design, he enjoys improving and expanding his knowledge as an architect. Outside of work, you’ll find Chris enjoying sports, sketching, and baking. An explorer at heart, Chris also enjoys traveling and discovering what the city has to offer.
