Boise native Ciera has long loved the overflowing wilderness of the Pacific Northwest, its crisp craft beers, vibrant arts, and impressive architecture. Having dreamed of living in Seattle since she visited the city as a child, she settled in naturally and loves exploring both the vibrant urban center and our surrounding beautiful mountains year-round.
She has a Bachelor and a Master of Architecture from the University of Idaho, where she not only completed her professional coursework, but augmented her creative portfolio with classes in fine art, as well as studying abroad in Rome and London. Throughout her graduate career, she taught dance classes and directed a youth modern dance company. She believes in harnessing the clear connection between human movement and the architectural form to help shape the spaces we inhabit.
Outside of Board & Vellum, Ciera remains active in the dance and maker communities, and her professional and personal creative activities inform her work.
