Ian has been in the Puget Sound region for over 10 years, arriving from Arizona shortly after high school. His natural curiosity led him down many avenues before focusing on landscape architecture. After graduating with his BA during The Recession, he went on to earn dual Master's degrees from the University of Washington in Landscape Architecture and Urban Design and Planning. During this time he also completed a Certificate in Urban Design.
In his professional life, Ian has experience working on a multitude of project types ranging from multifamily housing, parks, university campuses, civic spaces, parks, and themed zoo exhibits. Ian’s colleagues describe him as a technically savvy, persistent individual who maintains a proactive, can-do attitude when faced with a challenge. His specific interests are landscapes that enable storytelling, plant design, and engaging human emotion through landscape architecture.
