Katie arrived in Seattle to complete her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Washington and never left. After graduation, she found herself continuing to work at a local museum where she assisted in the Ethnology collections, as well as aided in the installation and demolition of exhibits. Then, she found herself working in education, mostly in Student Services. More than a decade went by and she found it was time to apply her skills to a whole different world. Board & Vellum put out the call, and she appeared.
With her talents in editing/wordsmithing, logistics, and system-building, Katie appreciates it when a plan comes together and she thrives in situations where there is little time, but a deep need for efficient solutions. She takes pride in looking after the little things, while never turning her back on the big picture.
When she is outside the office, you will find her supporting the arts, at the dance studio, hammering away at the blacksmith forge, eating and drinking all over the world, or transcribing historical documents for a variety of national and international organizations.
