Morgan Welch, AIA, CPHC®
Associate, Architect
Morgan comes to Board & Vellum from Philadelphia, having studied and worked all up and down the east coast. Her lifelong love of art, math, and language led her to a career in architecture, with a side interest in Mandarin Chinese. She received a BA in Architecture from Yale University, and became fluent in Chinese while studying abroad for two summers in Beijing. After working for three years in New York and DC, Morgan headed to Philly to earn a Master’s of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania.
Before Board & Vellum, Morgan worked on many project types and scales, from renovations of historic Georgetown rowhouses, to multi-tower master plans in Shanghai and Hangzhou, China. She has returned to a smaller scale of design to focus on tailoring design to each client, and creating great buildings that welcome and inspire their users. She looks forward to working in the beautiful settings of the Pacific Northwest, having moved to Seattle to embrace the amazing landscapes and waterways close by. With a passion for rowing (her sport in college and beyond) Morgan loves to explore the waterfronts and rivers in every city she visits.
