Terry Allen

Director, Business Management

As Director of Business Management, Terry oversees, supports, and manages Board & Vellum’s day-to-day financial processes while motivating and training our teams in financial literacy. A firm believer in the transformative power of mistakes, Terry encourages her colleagues to embrace oversights, missteps, and slip-ups in the pursuit of success.

Terry loves to dive deep into spreadsheets until she’s satisfied she understands the whole story the numbers are telling. She is well-versed in accounts payable, accounts receivable, operations, project resourcing, and operations, and she uses her knowledge and experience to mentor staff on best practices for the A&E industry.

Terry’s passion for financial literacy is matched only by her love of origami. She’s a well-known and sought-after origami instructor who revels in bringing the art of origami to new audiences. In her own words, “teaching origami transcends language, cultural, and skill barriers.”

Over the last 15 years, Terry has served as the event coordinator for the Puget Area Paperfolding Enthusiasts Roundtable (PAPER), taught at numerous origami conferences throughout North America, and brought origami lessons to libraries, elementary schools, and universities alike.

If the way to your heart is not through spreadsheets and paperfolding, know that Terry and her family have won 14 blue ribbons for their famous berry pie.

Terry Allen is a member of the Board & Vellum ownership group.
