Lindsey Werkhoven, RA

Senior Associate, Architect

Lindsey loves the challenge of updating a home to meet a homeowner’s needs while maintaining historic characteristics and staying on budget. As an architect, she learns from her surroundings and enjoys working with all types of craftspeople to better understand their trades, using this gained knowledge to inform her work.

Lindsey’s experience spans over a decade — with single-family residential, commercial, and multifamily projects — and throughout all project phases, from feasibility and permitting to finish specifications. She currently focuses on single-family residential projects. Additionally, Lindsey has a passion for lighting design and spent several years exploring this interest at a decorative lighting design and manufacturing company.

Lindsey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from Connecticut College and a Master of Architecture from Rhode Island School of Design. In 2010, Lindsey was awarded a Fulbright grant to research architecture and artisans in Fez, Morocco, where she studied Arabic and learned how to navigate the maze of streets in Fez’s medina.

Away from the office, Lindsey is an active community member and volunteer foster parent. On the weekends you’ll find her traveling with her husband and children, remodeling her Craftsman home, and spending time at her in-law’s dairy farm in Snohomish County.
