Board & Vellum loves a good party. But, we also get excited about all sorts of events. Sometimes, it’s a bunch of us volunteering in the community to rebuild a house over a weekend. Sometimes, we’re celebrating being recognized as a great place to work. Sometimes it’s an awesome lecture we are promoting and attending. Whatever it is, we are excited about it and think you might be, too.

First Art Opening at Board & Vellum’s “By Others” Gallery
Board & Vellum presents local artists Caitie O’Donnell and Sid Gaines in its inaugural opening of the By Others gallery. Native to the Pacific Northwest, Caitie O’Donnell’s work investigates the merging of strong graphic forms with abstract elements. Sid Gaines is showcasing two mini-series: Figures and Combinations, exploring the simultaneous fluid feedback and concrete nature of clay.

Night School: Crowded Cities and Impromptu Settlements
We are hosting the next “Night School” at our new office on Wednesday, July 27th at 6 PM, at B&V's Below Grade event space! Come watch and discuss a screening of Urban Think Tank's "Torre David," a documentary on the extra-legal occupation of a partially-built Caracas skyscraper.

Rebuilding Together Seattle: Board & Vellum Volunteers!
Last weekend, Board & Vellum teamed up with the local branch of the WSGR law firm for Rebuilding Together Seattle's "Spring Rebuilding Day"! A long day of hard work, teamwork, matching T-shirts, a protective onesie, and, well, a cute puppy, rounded out a good time helping a local homeowner revive her house!

Board & Vellum is a young and vibrant firm built on the idea that an informed and engaged team leads to better design and happy clients. We wouldn’t be where we are today without passion and hard work, and those same two things keep us going strong today.
Our Process
Bringing your project from “idea” to fruition is a little different at Board & Vellum. We give personal care to each of our projects, and you’ll be in the loop every step the way. The bonus: we are an integrated firm, so each project has access to plenty of great knowledge — and that leads to better design.
