Mark Your Calendars for the Green Building Slam

Ten presenters, 10 slides, 10 minutes each. Join Board & Vellum for a fast-paced, fun event to learn about some exciting new eco-friendly design projects in the Northwest when the annual Green Building Slam returns on Friday, November 4.

One of our favorite annual events, the Seattle Green Building Slam, is coming up on November 4th. We'd love to see you there!

Hosted by the Northwest Eco Building Guild, this fast-paced and fun evening will feature 10 short presentations of recent green-built projects (each has 10 slides and lasts 10 minutes). You don't have to be in the industry to enjoy this event - it's intended for anyone with an interest in eco-conscious living. This year's presentations include: a physics teacher who built his own Passive House, a sustainable mobile home, how to maintain historical context in Seattle's ever-changing landscape, and more.

The Seattle Green Building Slam kicks off with complimentary pre-event food and drinks at 6 p.m. on Friday, November 4th, at Kane Hall on the University of Washington campus. The presentations begin promptly at 7 p.m., and all attendees are invited to stick around afterwards for dessert and a chance to meet and mingle. (Several B&V'ers will be attending/volunteering at the event, so be sure to come say hello!)

Tickets ($10-$25) and speaker information are available through the Northwest Eco Building Guild.
