Hello World! Quilt Bomb Hits Capitol Hill, by Artist Luke Haynes

One of the more exciting projects we're working on here at Board and Vellum, Ada's Technical Books & Café, recently got a bunch of pre-construction publicity when the clients hired artist Luke Haynes to wrap the exterior of the building in yarn scraps spelling out "Hello World"!

One of the more exciting projects we're working on here at Board and Vellum recently got a bunch of pre-construction publicity when the clients hired artist Luke Haynes to wrap the exterior of the building in yarn scraps spelling out "Hello World"!  The owners came up with this fantastic idea and I think it beautifully serves up the creative spirit that has made the client such a success in their industry.  While I can't say more than what you can find in the articles below, I can say that I am confident this will be a truly wonderful project that really adds to the neighborhood (one I live in I must add).  I can't wait to be able to share more when we're ready.

Here is an obligatory iPhone photo while I search for my real camera...

And, here are some of the great articles on this fantastic installation:

Capitol Hill Seattle: "Ada’s Technical Books drops fuzzy ‘Hello World’ on new Capitol Hill location"

Urbnlivn: "A Fabric Facade"

Puget Sound Business Journal: "Colorful 'yarn-bombed' house captures attention on Capitol Hill"
